The Mixed Lever Biogas Plant is a popular choice for homes in South India. A built-in mixing lever stirs the slurry inside the digester, so the waste does not settle and gas production stays consistent day after day.

How it works

Kitchen waste or cow dung mixed with water goes into the airtight FRP digester. Natural bacteria break it down without oxygen and release biogas — about 55–60% methane according to MNRE — which is piped to your biogas stove. The digested slurry flows out and can be used as organic fertiliser for your garden.

Care and maintenance

  • Use the gas in a well-ventilated kitchen and keep open flames away from the gas holder
