KSEB estimates that each kilowatt of well-placed, south-facing rooftop solar generates about 4–6 units of electricity a day, with lower output on cloudy monsoon days.

PM Surya Ghar subsidy for homes

Under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana guidelines issued by MNRE in 2024, eligible households can receive a central subsidy of ₹30,000 for a 1 kW system, ₹60,000 for 2 kW and ₹78,000 for 3 kW and above. Portable incinerators for sanitary waste

Disposable sanitary napkins and diapers contain plastic that does not break down, and India's Solid Waste Management Rules, 2026 now treat sanitary waste as a separate stream. The Central Pollution Control Board's guidelines list small incinerators as one way to dispose of it.
